Waldorf education is a holistic and integrated approach which encourages the development of the whole child - hands, head, and heart. While there are specific songs and activities we share, all of life is the curriculum. Following what is appropriate developmentally, Waldorf education deepens many of the values we already seek in our faith - reverence for life, connection with creation, imagination, compassion, celebration of the sacred in the everyday. The child's overall well-being is emphasized just as much as his or her learning. By educating a child in a way that they find themselves whole, we believe they can bring wholeness to the world around them. By allowing them to slow down and be children, we hope to give them time and space to imagine and play and develop into the full people God created them to be.
